I just saw in my local hardware store flyer a B & D 12V nailer that takes up to 2″ brads. I’ve seen those expensive types by Dewalt up around $450 but this one is for $C170. Have any of you used it and what are your opinion(s) on it? Now it only has a 12V battery attached so I wondered if there was any power worthwhile to it? Apparently it can shoot 600 nails on a single charge.

Paul, if you're a DIY or a pro with only occasional need, the BD would probably fit the bill. My first cordless tool set was a 14.4V BD that specifically stated "the warranty is void if you use this on the job." Heck, they worked great for about two years til the batteries gave out.
I have the Paslode finish and framing cordless guns and they're great; however if less expensive alternatives had been there I might have bought them instead.
