I have a garage that I want to insulate. We built our house and had the insulation blown into the walls. They used netting and a very fine white fiberglass insulation. I was wondering if anyone had done this as I would definitely like to do my garage with the blown in installation. But the quote for the garage is as much as it cost for the house (yes I have a big garage and I am proud of it). Has anyone put up netting and filled the stud cavity with blown in insulation, if so how did it work out. Thanks.

Chuck,
Not too many people here blow in FG, but lots of us blow in cellulose insulation. Of those that blow cells, even fewer use the netting. Most blow after the drywall is up.
There was a discussion not too long ago...I think the banter was mostly between Mike Smith and G Lalonde...about blowing using the netting. Some great tips on keeping the netting from blowing off the studs, etc.
I ran a quick search and came up with this posting:

Maybe Mike or G. can give you the good info.
