Can I blow over the existing with additional cellulose?ML
Sorry to hijack here, but I figure it's related. What about cellulose vs. blown-in fiberglass?
dense packed cellulose will trump blown fiberglass for air sealing, but at lower densities the r values aren't much different. I always push people towards cellulose.
Cellulose. But first install your baffles down at the eave. You want to keep the roof cold and allow the attic to breath. You can blow right over what you have in there. Once the baffles are in place you'll be done in no time. So much easier than baffles and more efficient.
