Has anyone used the BIASI B-10 Boiler system? I’d prepping for the time that I will need to replace my Trianco heatmaker Direct vent, tankless unit.
I use it for heat and hot water. For heat we have baseboard on the 1st floor and radiant on the 2nd.
If no the Biasi, what would be a good replacement.
Thanks in advance KaiserRoo

I'm curious about boiler questions. I see them on the This Old House TV show all the time, but they tend to be in Massachusetts or other New England areas, and I can't relate to that. I live in western Wisconsin, and I see older houses in town with window A/C units, which means they have steam heat, but it's less and less all the time. Why do people wish to maintain this type of system?
'Cause radiant heat is, well, the BEST! Hands down.
Worth it even if you have to install a dedicated A/C system.
Tho' after rereading your post, I'm not sure if you're asking about steam vs. water or hot air, or water vs. hot air, since the term "boiler" is used for both steam and hot water units.

Most houses in New England have A/C in their windows, if they have A/C. We also have quite a few old steam heat systems, usually monoflow. Often they've been converted to water systems, on the old radiators. Makes for a nice radiant heat but hard to control the way people like.
Biasi is a nice product, But make sure there is a reliable network in your area for Both service & parts. If it can't be service properly or have to wait for parts to be shipped ( think winter) it might not be worth it. Don't ask how I know, want to buy a used one?
I'll go along with you. Make sure what ever you you go with has local support, such as technicians and suppliers. Also learned the hard way. Mike
