My brain was on vacation over the weekend and I applied silicon calk to a few oil primed exterior window frames in preparation for paint, now what? I reached into my calk bucket and pulled out a fresh tube of calk–checked the color and went to town. I now need to paint the windows but silicon doesn’t accept paint. Any suggestions or should I start stripping the calk? Will something like BIN provide a good prime? It is my house so standards are a bit different than if it were a customer.
