The safety of stairs is directly related to how the occupant uses them, so the safety features related to stairs in the building codes are also related to the user.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!

Ya know alot of my guys are going impact and what I don't like about them is they are too friggin loud.
I had a panic call in to one of the guys that was supposed to drill a bunch of 1/4" holes in 1/4" plexi.
I started thinking about it and it his only cordless. I don't think even Lexan would stand up to that. Can you turn off the hammer on any of the models ?

not on the impact drivers that I know of..
there are cordless multi-mode hammer drills...Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->

The new Makita Hybred is supposed to be 3 in one..Hammer/Impact/ and straight drill-driver.
I was after one back b4 xmas and they were back ordered until right about now. They are 18v L-ion and run on both sides of 300.00 depending who has em. Fastenal could have had me one for 287.00 IIRC.
I had the $ then, but not now. I WILL be getting one soon as I can tho'. Perfect for what we do.
Sounds nice but my drill bunkhouse is full. Next time some one steals one maybe......

I am waiting to see it in the store as I could use a smaller drill body to reach in soffits to scab on framing. My 18 volt DW impactor was a tight fit with just the bit in the chuck.
ANDYSZ2WHY DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT BEING A SOLE PROPRIETOR IS A REAL JOB?

Well, I got and LOVED their screwdriver of the same type. I suspect the impact model will be even better, I'll probably upgrade to that when it comes out.

Also a CRX fanatic!
I have the 10.8 drill, and love it. it's not a 18 volt drill, and you can't expect the same kind of performance, but it does what it's supposed to very well.
Speaking of 10.8V...my PS20 batts - both of them - died the minute the weather got cold. If I leave them in the truck overnight they've nothing left in them in the morning. Quick charge them & I get 15-20 minutes of use to a charge before they crap out again.
My other LI's, Makita 18V and Milwaukee V28's (almost 2 years old) run fine - cold or not. Anyone else seeing something similar??

Mines finnecky when it's cold as well.
D'you finally have to get rid of the Panasonic and get the LI's system?
No I've still got my Panisonic. I hardly use it after getting the little Bosch LI though.
Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?
The Impact or Pony?
