First let me say that I love the tools, except for the following problems.
On my first 13amp recip saw the high gear went out, the second one set 2 different ext. cord ends on fire.
Now, one of my circ. saws sounds like the bearings went out, but the blade feels solid.
I love the features on these tools, but the cost of replacing them is starting to mount.
One reason that I keep using them is that they all have rafter hooks and they seem to prevent them from being dropped and laid on the ground. The circ. saw also bevels to 56 degrees and you can adjust the torque on the adjustment handles.
Anyway I am just curious if any one else is having similar problems.

Are you saying you've had 3 Bosch saws screwup on you like that?
Sure sounds like that's worthy of a call to a rep.
"I can't say I was ever lost, but I was bewildered once for three days."
I have the 13 amp. recip. saw and it to likes to set cords on fire.
Does that happen when you saw one in half?
I noticed that the saw says not to use over a 50ft. cord with the recip saw.
I don't know about you but I always use a 100ft yellow cord.
I don't know if that has something to do with it.
Kyle,
Do you have the direct connect circ saw? I have the cs20 and it has been recalled. There is a problem with the blade guard. Evidently if you goto the web site they will send you a repair kit.
As far as the fire thing, what guage cord are you using? 100ft may be too much if you're under amped.
I'm using the coleman 14/3 guage that I bought from toolcrib.
14/3, 100ft, 13 amp recip? Cord might be a little long. A friend of mine accidently plugged my Dewalt SCMS into a 100ft 12(i think)/3 cord and it started to brown out.
I bought a 50ft 10/3 Yellow jacket about a day later.
