Have any of you found a Bosch web site? You know, so a guy can get info on their table saws, cordless tools, etc? I tried Bosch. com, but it was a no-go. Help me out here. Thanks…….

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming....
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Gee, who'd of guessed you would be the first to respond!

I think he is either A) on the Bosch pay-roll already, or B) trying real damn hard to get there..
Rumor has it roybi had him for a while and canned him, but he's got this fixation with the color blue....

Hey! He'll growl rather firmly so long as he is firmly planted in back of me and shielded by my body!
yeah... he's pretty much useless as a guard dog...or any other unless it involves eating, sleeping, and playing fetch when HE is in the mood.
Buddy just has to let you know there is trouble-then its your turn
to go retrosexual and DEAL WITH IT

Hey it was Neil that said the "Ryobi" word.
Thanks for the help. I just got back to my computer tonight after being shut out of the internet for a couple nights. now I can drool over those tools in the privacy of my home.
It's funny, Amazon ranks higher than boschtools.com so they bought an ad:

Followed the thread and thought I should add my -2cent. Being a big B fan this is kinda disappointing.
Went through a big buying spree last year and got new generation of Bosch cordless stuff. Part of which was a combo circ saw and drill-14.4v. I already had the brute 14.4 so these were just expensive spare batteries. I think I used the drill from the combo like 3 times. this last time I was drilling 3/8s" holes for plugs in oak with a brand new bit. Second hole, like less then 1/2" deep drill stops, kinda like a plug would have been unplugged and little bitty ceramic chips shake out of the motor compartment???? So at least I've got spares. It's still warrenpeed so Oh well.
Clay-
Go to their website, sign up for their contractors cordless program.
Now, call the 800 number. In 2 days, a UPS man will appear with a new drill at the jobsite. Make him wait 30 seconds while you take the new return label out, put your drill in their box, retape, (have some ready) and hand it to him.
Now go use your new drill.
THAT is great service! (At least thats the way it went down with me)Jake Gulick

Thanks I'll get on it. does the battery go with the original unit? Did they send a new drill?
Clay
They sent a spankin' new drill. My issue was the speed control. It had none. Off or full throttle. (I think the speed control evaporated in that funny smelling smoke that it released) I kept the batterys, and just traded drills.
Best part is, I called after hours and they met me at the site. I kept using the drill on low speed, so technically, there was no down time.
No trip to the store, no argueing about anything. Done. What more can you ask for???Jake Gulick
