Not electric, but...
The service from the supply house is better than the service at a big box.
The Rheem units from the supply house had a different anode option that isn't available on the rebranded box store units made by Rheem.
That said, the big box is much cheaper than the supply house, and the general retail customer won't care about the items above.
I bought a no-time-limit warranty Whirlpool from Lowe's, their best, 3 yrs ago. Most efficient according to the gov't energy guide. No issue so far, but the warranty is not to be honored by Lowe's. Call Whirpool direct. Which I did, to find out how it worked and if I was stuck with shipping costs. Was told that was not the case. Remains to be seen.
I also discovered that its electronic controls weren't compatible with my tankless heat pump water heater. Probably not a problem for you. Minor inconvenience for us.
