I was hoping that someone out there has plans or ideas for a breakdown drafting table. I know it’s not the most exciting subject, but I’d really appreciate some input. I intend to fit it with a parallel rule. Thanks.

I don't have plans ........but there are portable drafting tables. The one I have has short legs ...... it's designed to be set up on a tabletop, it has a parallel rule on it and a carrying handle. It will handle C size sheets ..... as far as cost, I couldn't say ...... it was a gift. I'm sure you could make your own version of it.

*Rich:Tried to post it over there but they seem to have a higher proportion of down days with their web site. I'll try again. Thanks.
*SatherPortable or knockdown? My first "space-saver" drafting table was a hollow-core doorhinged to the wall, with a parallel rule fitted to it. (I've rented some CHEAP apartments) If you are looking for "portable" look at Autosketch on a lap top. A cheaper alternitive would be to get some 1 X 3 oak and copy a TV tray-table at about 2X normal size with the front two legs a shorter length, to suit your preference.Scott
