Hi All
I am interested in breaking up a concrete pad that use to support an old chimney. The problem is the location … a crawl space. The location is cramped and I tried a rotary hammer with minimal results and tired arms. I thought an air compressor and a air chisel with about a 3 1/2 ” travel might do it. What do your all think?

go to HD or some other rental yard and get you a 30lb demo hammer, electric.
A demo hammer is a better bet.. if you can dig a little bit of dirt from under it it will help ya out... the in contact dirt will asorb a lot of the energy from th btreaker thatat's transmitted thru the CC...

There are some cracking agents available that you can use in this situation. You drill holes in the concrete, mix water with the cracking agent, pour it into the holes, and wait an hour or so. The cracking agent slowly expands, eventually cracking th concrete into manageable pieces. "Slow-motion dynamite" Pretty slick.
How big is this pad?
Standard size : 24x24 x 12
For such a small piece, why not just carry it out and break it up outside?
