This post is out of sheer curiosity.
When you see the old brick buildings that have the windows with an arched top, like an igloo, how do they lay the brick? I suppose this question would pertain to all masonry arches. I understand the strength of the keystone shape transferring the weight to the sides, but I’m curious as to how it is constructed as it would have no stability until completed.
