Have an 1860 colonial with two chimneys side by side, one is 154 yrs old and the other is newer. Older one is brick while the newer is cinderblock. Both are currently covered with a bad brick veneer job. Am considering coating existing job and reveneering brick to the improved substrate or should I attempt to remove the old veneer?
