I first noticed that there must be something wrong with my A/C when the temp in the house got over 82. When someone (who will remain nameless) was weed wacking yesterday it seems he hit the low voltage wires going to the compressor. Now I have a low voltage two wire coming out of my house but I can only see one yellow LV wire coming out of the compressor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your description does not leave much to go on. Normally there is a two wire going out to the compressor. If you take the cover off the compressor (after turning off the power at the equipment disconnect) you should see the other end of the broken wires. Re-attach safely and in a sensible manner and the unit should work again.
Thanks for the reply Nick. Things got a little hectic today including a 250 mile round trip by car in 5 hours. Once I took my time I was able to locate the missing wire and everything is running fine.
