Once a bubble level is centered, should’nt you be able to rotate the level to any degree and the bubble stay put? Was using a level the other day and Centered the bubble then rotated the level 180 degrees and the bubble was not centered. I then releveled or centered the bubble again, then went back to my original sight line and of course the crosshair was an inch below my mark. Level not working or needs to be calibrated? The level is on a tripod shooting a distance of 25′.

and you usually gotta "level" it more than once to get it dead nuts on. That's why ya spin check it. Jeff "That's like hypnotizing chickens........."
The level is most accurate when right side up. For instance, my Stabila is acurate to .029º right side up but less upside down [but I can't find the document at the moment]. This is with levels with a barrel shaped tube. So levels have a U-shaped tube and work only right side up [like my old Handyman].

The level is off, I just heard this morning that it is being re calibrated...I know spinning a tube level 180 is norm for leveling a level but a bubble level....
thanks guys
