Building a custom wood overdoor sunburst
Hi I am new to this forum and hope that someone can help me learn how to build a custom wood overdoor sunburst. I am not interested in the foam or plastic kind and I don’t have access to a computer controled carving syste. I suspect that they can be carved but am looking for information about building one with wood slats cut to size.
Thank you

I can't find my March 2004 issue. Is there any chance you can post the page. It sounds exactly what I am looking for. Thank you
Measure the size of the overdoor area where you plan to install the sunburst. This will determine the overall size and proportions of your sunburst.
Sketch out a design for your sunburst. You can use a compass or a circular object as a guide to create a circular shape and then sketch in the rays of the sunburst.
The groves and dips can be felt on the surface.
