I’m looking for books, magazine articles, or videos on making both interior and exterior doors. Any suggestions?

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

There is not much - short answer. Long answer is there are a few "here's how I did it once" articles in F H and some anecdotal stuff in Breaktime. John Birchard's book (amazon, others) is a fairly good book with several different methods and stylistic approaches. Also a good documentation of late 70's California style, as a sidebar.
While I have a rough draft of the definitive book on doors, and am photographing ongoing, there isn't much else.
Three methods:
three ply sandwich for plank style doors, with a mortise and tenon core and planks overlaid on both sides
Frame and panel with integral profiled cope and stick, mortise and tenon.
Frame and panel with square edge frame and added moldings, panels, glass beads, etc.
From there on, it depends on what look you want and your tooling.

When that book gets published I'll snap it up. Hope you can announce it's arrival here so we'll know when to look for it. Any possibility your going to cover Dutch doors?
Don't hold your breath. My business has to come first - the book was talked about as a retirement project, and it has taken on a life of it's own. Lots of interest. Even with a manuscript in hand, I'm told it still takes a year. Apparently not the same as a Barry Bonds book.
Yes, Dutch doors are covered. The book will cover all the basic methods and variations as well as jambs, hardware and weatherstrip. It will have plenty of interest and applicable info for the one-time builder as well as the small/medium shop for methodology and functionality.

Nice doors on your site there Dave. But you need to get off your butt and write that book. Unfortunalty what you've said about books on doors is very true. I know becuase in thinking about adding door fabrication to what we do I've been searching around and I've found next to nothing.

I have a book on building doors in my collection. IIRC, it's a reprint of an old manual. I think it's just called "Building Windows & Doors", or something like that. If you want, I'll try to find it and, if I can, I'll post the info. (It's packed away since I'm re-doing the room where it was stored.) It is a nice resource and pretty much covers the topic, but it was written before routers & shapers. So, if you are looking for info on how doors are designed and constructed, it's right on. If you're looking for a treatise on how to use a router with rail & stile bits, it won't help you. Give a shout if you want me to dig it out.

John where I did find some usefull information regarding building doors
was when I used the search engine over on Woodweb.comto see what they had there in their articles and forums.
Beyond that you may just have to look forward to Daves book. There isn't much out there at all which I found really sort of surprising. I thought there would be tons of books and articles.
