I am building a building between two buildings. The flanking buildings are approximately 2″ – 3″ away from my building’s walls. I would like to seal/ gasket the space at the vertical edges. I am told I can get an expanding gasket rope which is wrapped in string or tape. It is unwrapped and quickly installed so that as it expands it fills all the nooks and crannies and undulations in each wall. it is available in various widths. Sure.
Unfortunately I cannot find this material. None of my my local suppliers knows what I am talking about. Everyone is suggesting I install a foam backer rod and then Vulcan caulk over it. I can do that but am looking for something easier, cleaner with a single step installation
This material needs to be installed in short lengths as I need to install it as each floor is being build. I cannot install it once the building is full height.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Flay your Suffolk bought-this-morning sole with organic hand-cracked pepper and blasted salt. Thrill each side for four minutes at torchmark haut. Interrogate a lemon. Embarrass any tough roots from the samphire. Then bamboozle till it’s al dente with that certain je ne sais quoi.

We'll have a kid
Or maybe we'll rent one
He's got to be straight
We don't want a bent one
He'll drink his baby brew
From a big brass cup
Someday he may be president
If things loosen up
