Oh, I see, we ask the questions then supply the answers. Sorta' like talking to yerself.
"Your Highness, I am in need of your expert and bountiful wisdom. I am now considering building and wish to know if I should hire my brother-in-law."
"No. How dare you to bother me with such pettiness."
"Perhaps, oh Accurate Reader of thy measuring tape, I may be shown a way to fulfill my desire for a new abode. Please, oh Great Nailpounder, let thy lowly DIY hear thine truth."
"Oh, alright, do not hire a remodeler for a project which is not within the normal scope of his work. If you do, he will take too long and he will not know how to coordinate the many slaves. You and he will be up to your eyeballs in camel dung trying to figure out who should get the blame for thee Infamous Cost Overrun. You shall be visited by the 5 deadly plagues: irritated bankers, shifting completion dates, teary-eyed wives, recalcitrant labor, untimely work stoppage, as well as learning how to sort through the lumberyard's woodstacks on your own."
*Rich,Got any more? I'm dying! LOL!I like this new format. Do you think "remodelor" is Canadian for "remodeler" or is a remodelor some kind of newfangled paddle?MDxxxxx
*Thanks MD. Sheesh, I thought I was in danger of revisiting the great contractor/DIY debate, or at least the holier than thou attitude some contractors seem to have, present company excepted. It's REMOve DE LORry from back when they drove horse and buggy. Meaning, what the heck is wrong with you thinking you can park in front of my home. It's a Brit thing.
