It’s 50 bucks, and something I have not experienced (to make sure it’s clear – not to insult) the device that allows you to control the tilt of the bull float by rotating the handle.
Also the question what do you do to keep the handles from unscrewing?

We call those things 'knuckleheads'.
If I did more than a couple of slabs a year I'd get one. There are times when stuff is in the way behind you and it's hard to hold the handle at the height you want for the float you need. Having the knucklehead gives you more control and just makes it easier in general. Guys that do a lot of flatwork always seem to have one.
I can't imagine floating concrete without one. Beats all kinds of heck out of holding a long float handle 2' over your head while walking backwards.
If you place alot of concrete i'd get one (but i'm afflicted with tool buyers disease).
If you dont do alot of cement did you consider subbing it out?
yes
they use a different type handle

I went with full intentions of getting one (the type with the chains) but they didn't have an adaptor for screw handles. Buying new handles takes the fun out of it for now because the "thing" seems a little overpriced anyway. I figured I could tape the screw handles, but since they didn't have the adaptor it's business as usual monday. Thanks for the counsel on this - breaktime carries a lot of weight in that department.
they sell the adapther, I have one. I use duct tape on the handles.. BOB thinks I,m an idiot
Hey, I got one yesterday, used it today (made my own adaptor - they didn't have one) and it worked GREAT! (I duct taped handles too) Thanks guys for the good advice.
