“bump” at garage entr to keep water out?

Customer thinks she has seen such a beast. Something that can be sealed down to the cement at the garage door to keep water from coming in.
Anyone know of anything? Thanks (yes, I am being lazy here)

I have a customer whose garage is about a foot lower than street level. Guess what happened every time it rained?
They solved their problem with 3 bags of sacrete and 2 2x4's as a form. No more water runs thru the garage. They then nailed the garage door shut. Who would put a car in a storage room anyhow?
if you live in snow counrty, won't that also keep in the water from melting snow that the car drags in ?
Tommh,
Yes, we do get snow, and yes, this would tend to keep the water in, but since the garage floor is not sloped towards the door that water isn't leaving now. That is also why this is needed...any water blown in just stays.
Neil,
I guess I was even lazier than I thought. I had a vague memory of a thread on this subject, but I thought for sure it was two or three years ago. I really feel dumb since I did in fact read that thread you linked too.
Thanks for your info.
Ralph,
That would be the solution for my garage. But the customer can't park in the driveway since the slope is so great and she is elderly and finds navigating the driveway on foot difficult. On at least one occasion, the winter ice was so bad that a car parked on the drive slid down to the street.
