Today while painting trim I was thinking about how much time I spend on this site, enough that I feel like I know many of you, although I don’t contribute that often. Usually just in the construction folder if I think I can help someone. That’s pretty much how I am in person too–when I have something to say I’ll jump in and say it, but in real life and the internet I really enjoy listening to what others have to say….
Which reminded me of something my dad said to me once, that he thought I’d be an extrovert if I didn’t stutter (still stutter, not as bad as I used to). I realized I am an introvert on the internet as well, where I can communicate freely. That thought was reassuring.
I know some of you are dyslexic (still not sure about Orlo/Larry:)); how does this affect you in everyday life? Does it make you less inclined to communicate with others, which seems necessary to build relationships? Do you post here less than you might if writing were easier for you? Anyone else here have speech impediments? I know a couple of people who are dyslexic, but we haven’t talked about it much…I’m curious.

*You know Mike, I considered co co communications but that looked funny. If I were to get stuck on that word it would sound more like: ..................communications. Always a critic in the house somewhere....
*ah.. yes.. the pregnant pause... that's always helped my minor probs....but more than stuttering , my prob has always been foot-in-mouth-itis.....
*Mike Smith you'd say "b b b b b b b bite m m me"
*I think that personality is seeded in before speech patterns are learned but re-inforced by life experiences later. IMHO
