I like your hinge detail, he'll never lose the tail gate!
Doug
hey that was an afterthought, after box was assembled etc etc
but a few cuts with a table saw, a quick router job and a piece of heavy wire and hey a four year old proof hinge!!
hey thanks guys, i'm just posting this, and i hear you already
a few scraps of maple flooring and some other ***** and my grandson's in heaven, isnt that what life is about?
oops
nice....Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->
WOW!!! What a Ride!Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
I like it, it needs headlights, fuel tanks too small, but I like it, I might copy it. It a great idea.It doesn't matter who he is, just so long as he says something "we" like. RJW 1/07
headlights and grill are in the works, probably stainless screws and cupwashers and a piece of window screen for a grill
the fuel tanks are turned walnut laminated from 2- 3/4 inch pieces(all i had)
i dont think my 4 year old grandson will care!!
trailer(still under construction) is a 4 foot long flat bed
next is a tow truck under the same design
then its doll house time for my grand daughter
turn the table saw on (ha ha)

Exellent heirloom piece. Since a 4 year old is pulling it I bet that it gets better gas milage than anything any of us are driving.
Great stuff! Thumbs up from the three kids playing behind me.
Forrest - wife's at a girls' thing
He will have a lot of fun with that.
Like to see a pic from front corner.

Steve,
Nice work!

Fun. They had a whole fleet of those in my kindergarten. Every day we got to sit on them and scoot in circles around a big work table.
I only just now realized that it was probably so we'd wear ourselves out before nap time.
