We are duilding a large deck and would like to install cable railings. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.

Talk with the people at the city building department first. So many cities are different form one another in what they require.
great for on deck gardens, cucumbers and other vine plants can run along the cables.
In my neck of the woods if you are more than 18" off the ground you have to ensure that the railing is not climbable to meet code. That means that horizontal cables would be a no-no. And, of course, there is the 4 inch rule - a 4 inch sphere cannot pass through any space in the railing.
I've built many. The cable is easy to get, but please don't use the HD turnbuckles. They are ugly. Do a search for tunbuckles and you can find some really nice ones that will sex up the look. I use some from a company call Indusco that are real slick. And yes, check those codes.
There are a number of Indusco's. Is this the one you are refering to?http://www.induscowirerope.com/F
Yep, the one in Baltimore.
A similar sexy wire connection that is cheaper can be found in the pages below. Order a catalog, the site doesn't reall show you much.

Like aimless said, check with your building department--anywhere I've worked you can't have a climbable rail.
