I’m looking for a formula to figure out heating requirements. I know its all relative to windows, insulation and climate. We live in southern Maine about 10 miles from the coast with new thermo pane windows and 2″ of urathane? spray foam insulation (that’s all we could afford) in the walls and 3″ in the roof. It will be a FHW with either baseboard (uggg) or some type of European style radiator ($$$$$). Why are these units so expensive? They are all that is used in European countries, do they pay so much for them as well? The house is 2100 SQFT. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
