   *basement, first floor, second floor, attic all 30X25 and the addition is 20X20 garage, first floor, bonus room. I provided the dimensions i need to know how much of the EMPTY basement, attic, and bonus room count for?bill

Bill, the reason everyone is complaining is that you posted in the "gallery" folder. We tend to get a little touchy around here when we open a thread expecting to see someone's best work and we get a question instead. Thank-you.

   *Excuse me for asking a question on the Gallery Page. I posted it from the main website and that is where it ended up. This was my first time using the site. Günter: thanks for the answer (42). It all makes sense when I add that to my total of SqFt. That explains the $200,000 difference. You are truly a source of pertinent knowledge. And thanks for the redirect to Dr Lycos.Billy

   *No, Bill, you were on the main site, then you entered the gallery, then you made your post. Maybe you hit your 'back' button a time too few before posting.Instead of getting angry with Gunner, it may have been a better approach to apologize for the mistake, and go and make your post again, where it belongs.If you actualy want a real answer to your question, you shouldnt go about trying to get it, by attacking those you are asking, when called on for your own mistake.

   How much Sq Ft do I add to the Calculations for the Basement and the Gambrel attic. The house is 30X25 with a 20X20 kitchen and Bonus room attached. The garage is under the kitchen. I come up with 750 for the main floor and 750 for the second floor of the main house and 400 for the kitchen addition. What do I need to add for the unfinished areas? I just received an estimate of $640866.25 (including 10% for profit and 15% for contingence) the quote says $110/SqFt (based on $512,693) this points to 4624 SqFt for the estimate. What is going on here?????
