Has anyone applied exposed aggregate over an existing concrete slab? I am hoping to keep it 1 inch thick or less. I am concerned that the new layer won’t bond to the existing one. The existing concrete is fairly new (less than a month). Is there a way to wash the surface to make the new concrete bond? Maybe with acid.
