yes i was wondering of how you can seal can light , recessed lighting,. i did not buy the sealed units but i did buy the ones that you can insulate around. the cans lights have holes in the cans, what could a person do to make these cans air tight? can you put anything on this holes that would stay and not make it a fire hazard? thanks

Rick - I think you aren't going to be able to do what you want with those units. If you manage to seal them completely somehow my experience tells me they will start blinking off and on as the thermal cutout engages. Then you'll have to use lower wattage bulbs to reduce btu output.
If it's not too late, go buy air-sealing housings instead.
