Restoring a 1721 salty…mostly by myself. I want to get the center chimney relined and have heard good things about cast-in-place liners. I have 5 fireplaces going up 1 unlined flue. Recommendations on a particular system would be great and (if someone doesn’t mind telling me) what should I be paying? Thanks for the help.

What someone else charges or paid has absolutely nothing to do with the price you will need to pay. Providers' prices vary greatly because of difference in regional costs and the level of quality of their service.
Understood. I guess I am trying to understand what a 'reasonable' expectation of cost would be for a system like this compared to a clay flue liner.
Sorry... wish I could help you there but can't. Bst of luck to you...
Wet Head's right on. It's tough for anyone to give even ballpark numbers without seeing your particular job. What I would do is get estimates from as many local professionals as you can. That would at least give you an idea of the going rates. Ask for references and follow up by interviewing previous customers. Even though prices can fluctuate job to job, even in a stable work clinmate, anytime you are investigating something new to you, I think it's a good idea to get as many opinions and as much information as you can. There might even be a better way to redo that chimney you haven't considered.
