Please Help,
I bought a Cielo acrylic bathtub and installed it with a tile surround. The directions say to use %100 silicon caulk and I did. The problem is that were the caulk meets the tub all the caulk lifted off. Iv’e done experiments cleaning the surface with iso alcohol and even acetone and it only seems to help a little. I can’t be the only one to go through this. Before I tear out the old caulk and redo it I need to be sure it will stick. Ripping out silicone caulk is no fun. What can I do? And any tips on removing silicone caulk? It sure stuck to tile well.
Thanks,
Dave

I'd call the tub company. Sounds odd to me. Maybe try a six inch area with "siliconized" caulk. That might possibly stick better. I dont want to say rough up the tub surface with sandpaper about 1/4 wide cause that sounds drastic.
Once again, I'd call the tub manufacturer
