….that’s joints, not cracks..har har…
I’m trimming vinyl windows with simple 1×4 rough sawn cedar which will get two or three coats of stain. The house has 2’6″ overhangs and no windows get any weather to speak of.
Is there any need to caulk the wood to wood joints or the wood to vinyl seam?
Thanks,
Scott.

bed them in addition to the caulking...

...Should have mentioned that this is my own house... no worries of customer call-back, except my wife...Yikes...ok, more caulk, ok, more bedding.....Scott.Always remember those first immortal words that Adam said to Eve, “You’d better stand back, I don’t know how big this thing’s going to get.”
Definately the bedding.
Ok, ok, ok. Thanks all. Bedding it is. Besides water proofing, I like the way the caulk permanently holds the trim pieces flush with each other. I'll take off my el-cheapo hat now...Scott.Always remember those first immortal words that Adam said to Eve, “You’d better stand back, I don’t know how big this thing’s going to get.”
