I have a 1981- 3 story townhouse w/ a window “bump-out” on the North face. The bump projects out on the 2nd & 3rd stories only- each w/ side-by-side single-hung windows. The north facade is clad W/ alum. siding.
We have been having allot of rain here in Virginia & I have heard a periodic dripping sound within the center window frame, depending on the rain direction & force. The inner sill showed signs of rot & mildew when I removed it & the lower trim, indicating an existing problem prior to my ownership.
Since the problem window is 2 stories up and surrounded w/ al. siding, how would I best go about re-caulking this window?
