I’ve recently built a large Pergola using Western red cedar, I left it unfinished so it would turn it’s natural silver grey color. Problem-rain water has left light brown drip spots all over the new concrete below. How do I stop this from occurring again and how can I clean the concrete without it looking like I cleaned it?

Cedar turns black
Not where I live. Here, it turns a very distinguished silver.
I have to agree with jesse at least in southern california, all of the cedar fences are a silver grey color.
Clean the concrete with muriatic acid diluted in water... maybe start with 1 part acid and 10 parts water. Pour it on the slab and rinse it off quickly.
If you coat the cedar with oil it shouldn't bleed like that. You could use a combination of Cabot Bleaching Oil and Weathering Stain to make it gray.
Thank you for the advice.
