Cedar Wall Shingles

I am looking for a good fastener for face nailing on a cedar shingle installation. Aluminum and stainless are too bright and visible, copper and galvanized bleed too much. Is silicon bronze an option? I am looking for suggestions if anyone has had good luck with an inconspicuous fastener (especially for weaving outside corners)
