I installed a Turn of the Century ceiling fan with light and remote in a condo bedroom. It did not have one before so I had to use a hanging chain and wire to get power from the receptacle to the fan. Now the light comes on from time to time for no reason. The lady I installed it for stated it comes on by itself sometimes at night and in the morning around 6:15 a.m. The only thing I can think of is it needs the codes changed in the remote and the control and also it may need a ground wire. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Is grounding an issue?
I know we have a Hunter ceiling fan with a remote and whenever the power goes out and comes back on, the light turns on automatically.
