Need to install some form of ceiling molding at the junction of drywall walls and 1×6 T&G hip cathedral ceiling. 5:12 pitch. All painted. Since it’s a hip cathedral the mouldings are a straight horizontal run.
Been toying with the idea of installing a straight 1X? then applying some sequence of cap/band/cove mouldings.
Anybody out there have some neat design idea.
Thanks,
Bob

I'm in my office staring at a similar situation except my ceiling is 1x8 v-match pine with a clear finish. House is an 1850s cape, nothing ornate. There is nearly clear 1x5 flat on the wall, with a 3/4" quarter round where it meets the v-match. Nothing pretentious about it and it looks fine.
the room is about 400 Sq. feet. walls start at 12 foot then go up at 5/12.
South wall is 80% window overlooking a florida preserve (aka. bug infested swamp)
west wall 10 foot of french door and transom...east wall windowed to match.
If that helps...thanks
