Just wondering about the proper way to do ceiling texture. I helped a couple times, and we mixed the accoustical texture with paint and sprayed it right out of the hopper. Some people have told me to just use water with the texture and spray like that. Any words of advice would be appreciated. I prefer the look of the paint and texture mix, but don’t know enough about the pros and cons. Thanks in advance for any assistance |

On the "aristex" that I use (can't remember the brand) it specifically says not to use paint for mixing. The only other thing I can add is to prime the ceiling before applying texture. This will insure that the texture will adhere uniformly.
