I ve got ceilings which are now flat.  popcorn scraped off, repaired, and skimmed flat.  id like to paint now but am wondering if an achoing problem will arise if i skip a light/medium splatter texture.  just like a knockdown process but not knocking it down.  bedrooms will be carpeted and rest of house will be tile and wood.  walls will all be knockdown except bathrooms and entry hall.  i want the flat look but id like some input regarding sound dampening issues i may encounter.  8′ ceilings throughout, very quiet neighboorhood.  thanks for any advice.
