What are good prices? I think a local lumber yard was around $5.00 for one 8 1/2" x 12' cedar-look pre-primed and Lowe's was close, give or take.
*i've been paying as low as $4.08 for primed Durapress 7.5 Inch Cedar Lap (Certainteed formerly Ashland -Davis... formerly Abtco.)and quoted as high as $5.59 for the same thing....different distributor...

Mike, that 4.08 a stick is a great price. 67-68 cents a square foot is a good price for both Hardi, and for Cemplank, in the preprimed 8-1/4" woodgrain look. The siders I work with don't seem to have a preference about which one they're putting up. The only real difference is personal opinion on their looks, and in their warranties. Take a close look at the transferable part, and the replacement schedules.
