I installed a Nutone vac system in our house when I was doing a major rehab about 15 years ago. I have also pre piped and wired several friends houses over the years. But given the number of problems we have had with our system I am wondering if they are such a great idea. The last problem that we have experienced is a bad armature in the power unit, Nutone wants 280.00 for a motor, a new unit is 300.00. This thing has done nothing but 100.00 us to death over the years. Nutone claims their new products carry a lifetime warranty, ours was produced the year before they offered this. (aint that how it always is?) Anyone else had any experiences good or bad with this manufacturer or any other. Can’t really say I could reccomend them to anyone I work for.
