I’m considering doing something and I’d like the opinion of other pros.A client of mine would like electric radiant heat installed in his basement bathroom floor. The floor is already finished with 4×4 tiles.I’ve tried removal which is near impossible(excellent installation). My plan would be to remove the glaze and rough the surface with a angle grinder. After a thorough cleaning I’d lay out the heating wire(mesh) in a 3/8” bed of thinset, let dry and then lay the tiles(6×6)in the tradional way.The extra thickness on the floor won’t be a problem. What do you think? The existing tiles are on the cement slab which has no cracks.

Dynamite works really well for removing tiles
Okay I'm really just bumping this message. Someone already mentioned (on other thread) using an air chisel. I've used one for this with good results .

what kind of tiles? I wiould rather nort have to grind glaze off ceramic tiles on afloor. I'll take chipping off the old. powered chisle or by hand - it can't be that big a job
