It’s kind of a long story but trust me I know this Certainteed shingle has been on University Drive East in Macomb for 3 years now, without fasteners, through cars and trucks, ice, wind and snow (plus snow plows).

They last longer on the road than they do on a roof.
My uncle had a driveway made from the little cutouts from 3 tab shingles. He bought a truckload from the shingle factory, spread them out like gravel and they held up fine. Quite peculiar for a driveway and I haven't seen another one like it.
