We currently have a red brick fireplace. To change the color of the brick, is it a major rebuild to remove the existing red brick, or is it a straighforward job? If so, what kind of price range can we expect?
Thanks

Define "major".
It will cost no less than $1000 to $2000 to do depending on about 10 different things which you didn't mention, for example, is there an ornate mantle attached to the brick which must be removed ?
