Got a cheap chop saw stand off ebay.
Got it for $102.50 … about as high as I was willing to go…
Next step would be the $400 or so for a real one.
Not a bad stand. Made in china … but went together pretty well.
Holds the saw off the floor … holds the materials off the floor … has wheels.
Not the best design as to the folding … slightly ackward with one guy … but plenty workable. Has some extra mounting tabs that are obviously for transporting all the pieces together .. but for the life of us me and the helper couldn’t figure out what went where …. no biggie.

Jeff,
The sawstand is from harbor freight, they sell it for
about $70. I bought one 3 yrs ago only paid $40.
I have used & abused it and I have no complaints.
I am usually reading the post's,but this year
I promised myself I would respond more.

Jeff,
I saw the pic and agree...
You bought a HF tool stand. I'm almost positive.
Look on the bright side. I first used that stand about 2 years ago. I asked the owner of the saw if it was a trojan stand (I though it looked like it might be their design). He said, no it's HF, paid something like $75. I would pay twice that without blinking. So you got a great stand for $100... Pretty good to me.

don't feel bad. I bought a metal cutting bandsaw from a hardware store going out of business. 70% off. I went out the door at $212. I was happy. On the way home stop at harbour freight, same saw, same mfg, $169
Why should ebay be like any other auction. I've been to auctions where stuff thats beat up and abused goes for as much as or more than retail NEW. Its real easy to bid something up if you get into it. btw buck you ever been to the contractor sale in salem OH 1st tuesday of the month? I got a 1000' roll of that good yellow extioncord wire for 100$#10 I think I could sell it for scrap and make a buck.

I saw it for $49 once at a HF on sale. Don't feel too bad I love to watch some of the things go on ebay. I watched a DeWalt nylon tool belt go for $109 plus shipping. They could have gone to Tool Crib and got it delivered for $79. I think it is probably worth what you paid anyway. The Ridgid MSUV looks pretty good for $199. I just can not justify it, besides it is kind of heavy.
someday I'll get that American Design and Engineering Sawhelper ...
decided that I need a sliding compound miter saw to compliment the CMS first ...
before I spend over $400 for that stand.

I have that HF stand and like it alot. I figured for $49 I couldn't go wrong. It is no more cumbersome than any other stands I have seen/tried. I use it alot for quick-outside trim jobs and even use it for my thickness planer...it works great for the planer too.
