To All,
I’m looking for a sawmill in Illinois to cut some elm I have for a table top. My stock is two (2) rough-cut (chain saw rips) quarter-sections of about a 24 inch diameter log about 8-10 foot in length. Would like to have it cut into 8 quarter slabs.
If anyone has knowledge of a sawmill in this aproxomate area I would be very appreciative to receive this information. Am searching the web in the meantime.
Thanks in advance.
Phillip

Bill,Thank you for the tip. With all the trees I see taken down in this area someone just may have one of these set up on a lot nearby. I will contact Woodmizer. Thanks again,

There's a sawmill in Yorkville (southwest of Chicago), Nicholson Logging and Lumber--630/553-7612. I believe they'll be able to do what you need.
