Who do you typically get to install chimney caps? Chimney cleaner, mason, general contractor?
Also, any idea of a ballpark price range for having them installed (western PA, two flus for fireplace and furnace)?
Thanks.

look for my listing in the Yellow Pages( LOL)---under "chimney builders and repairers"
For a standard size cap clamped to a standard size flue I generally charge $110/ cap
Custom fabricated caps will run several hundred $$$$
I will also give a price for installing new mortar caps, tuck pointing, or dismantling a chimney to the roof line and rebuilding.

Are flue caps necessary?
