I recently discovered a leak at the intersection of the siding/chimney on my 1930’s home. The siding is sawn cedar shake. The chimney is exposed to the Southeast which is the weather side. Here in our part of the country we can get upwards of 12 feet of rain each year. Needless to say I want to do it right the first time. Any suggestions, I’m all ears. Thanks alot, akonion

Funny how that happens.
A number of first time posters have put their question in the Breaktime Fest folder.
Why you think that is? The only folder with the Breaktime name?

akonion,
It is possible that other posters can give you the answer you need with the info provided.
But some pictures of the chimney might be helpful. Any chance you could get some pics posted?

Another day, another tool.
12 feet of rain? Where do you live?
Southeast Alaska, we can actually get upto 13 feet each year.
Greetings akonion,
That subject has been addressed here on Breaktime a number of different times in the past.
In the event you may not receive another response to assist you, you might find these Breaktime archives helpful.
If you scroll down in the lower left corner of your screen there is a search function that will take you to previous threads dealing with whatever you type in the search bar.
If you type in 'chimney flashing' or other keywords of the subject matter you'll get a supply of data from those old threads.
Cheers
