We will be installing a roman tub faucet (deck mounted). I also want the hand held shower attachment with it.
I would like to know what are important features to look for – ie. quality mechanism and ease of installation. (We, as homeowners, will try to install this ourselves, if possible.)
Any suggestions of quality brands, makes and models would be very helpful (if that is allowed on this forum). I don’t want anything extra fancy or too pricey – just good function.

Thanks Rez! When i had not had any reply's, i reposted and changed the message title a bit, and then i did get some good advice. Thanks again!
I have used Moen in the last few baths that I have done. Ihe last one ,I installed was the Montecello style. This one had a high arch faucet and there was a seperate diverter that was mounted on the deck that operated the hand held shower attachment. Simple to install. I f you have the skill to install a faucet, the the shower attachment is a piece of cake.
what eer you do, buy a carbide or diamond hole saw for drilling through the deck/tile/stone. These can be purchased at any plumbing supply house and better tools stores.
