My Son took on what he thought was a small job: to clean the soffits ,leaders and gutters
He set up power washer , ladders ect and proceeded only to find that he need full strength ZEP power wash solution and had to hand rub every inch.
A suggestion was made to use bleach, all it did was ruin my shirt.
Anyone have a way to clean these the above

That is why people who have aluminum gutters have sons. You have found the easy way. His turn will come.
My father keeps telling me that aluminum is amphoteric (sp?)--meaning acids OR bases will attack it. If bleach didn't work, you might try vinegar. I have tried to clean painted gutters in the past with a power washer and like you said, you have to rub it with a wet rag to get it clean--power washing is almost useless. I am not a big fan of power washers.
TSP is the recomended solution to clean aluminus!
