My wife got us an eBay deal on a pair of old copper lights for by the front door. Part of the reason the deal was good is that the lights are dingy, that is, the copper is closer to black than to either brown or verdegris. Before re-wiring the lights, I’d like to clean them up a bit — not scour them bright or accelerate the green, but just bring back that lovely nut brown that copper can be. Dish detergent and a sponge isn’t doing it. Anybody got an idea?
Thanks,
Andy
